I have been reading Lynette Eason‘s novels since some of her earliest ones published by Love Inspired Suspense. I have watched her talent develop over the years into first class suspense and have several friends who have now read most of her books also. We all look forward to each one that is published. I often have the good fortune to receive a review copy which is a true blessing. Called to Protect more than met my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a fast-paced suspense novel.
Called to Protect jumps in foot first and takes off running from the very first page. Chloe St. John and Deputy US Marshall Blake MacCallum find themselves working together on a human trafficking case with a much too personal connection. Both Chloe’s missing cousin and Blake’s kidnapped daughter may be held by the traffickers. The action is nonstop and the suspense builds with each page. Chloe and Blake must learn to trust each other and depend on God if they are to rescue the missing girls before it is too late.

I have had the pleasure of reviewing several of Rachel Dylan’s novels and enjoyed each of them. I love the fact that she brings her experience as a lawyer into play in her riveting legal suspense novels which adds an extra layer of realism to them. In my opinion, each of her novels improves on the last one and Lone Witness serves to prove it.
When Sophie Dawson is the only witness to a double murder, she is determined to continue working on an important case but it soon becomes apparent that someone wants her dead. This action-filled, suspenseful tale takes her and Cooper Knight, the security guard hired by Sophie’s father, down a dangerously twisting path filled with surprises and multiple attempts on their lives. More than once, I was certain that I knew the answers only to be proved wrong once again. Strong yet normal characters are portrayed in a way that made me want to get to know them. I love how the author deftly weaves a strong yet unobtrusive message of faith into her narrative.
Definitely a page-turner, Lone Witness held me in its grip until its very last page but I hated to reach the end. I eagerly anticipate the next book in this great series.

As the Tide Comes In is a heartrending yet beautiful novel that allows the reader to walk with Tara Abbott through unspeakable tragedy and loss and the dark, lost days after until that spark of light breaks through. Although the tale is not always sad, many readers will probably want to keep a box of tissues close at hand.
I have long been a fan of Cindy Woodsmall’s books and love the fact that she is now collaborating with her daughter on some. As the Tide Comes In may be one of the most touching stories I have read and it is one that will linger with me for awhile. I adored the Glynn Girls and how they ministered to Tara, always knowing instinctively when to hover and when to step back. It was inspiring to see how the Lord was always with Tara, through good times and bad, and leading her to the place to find answers to all her questions.
I really loved this book and hope to see more like it in the future. I can’t wait!

Although fashion model Willow Bradford would like to keep the mistakes of her past behind her, it is difficult to ignore former boyfriend Corbin Stewart who she is forced to spend time with in order to help a precocious young Charlotte solve a family mystery. Most romance readers know from the git-go that sparks are sure to fly and the former sweethearts are certain to be reunited by the end of the story. Yes, that’s a given but the fun is in discovering how they get to that point.
Falling for You is the second novel in the Bradford Sisters series and it met all my expectations. It was fun seeing familiar characters show up during the story but most enjoyable was the verbal interplay between Willow and Corbin not to mention the adorable Charlotte. An added layer of interest was added by the family mystery the three of them were attempting to solve.
All-in-all, the story was wonderful with a steady plot, vivid characters, and plenty of romance. The spiritual thread could have been a bit stronger but nevertheless, a strong theme of forgiveness and restoration is woven throughout. I loved Falling for You and I believe most fans of contemporary Christian romance and Becky Wade would agree.

Welcome to the blog tour & giveaway for One December by Kyle Hunter, hosted by JustRead Publicity Tours!
MY REVIEW:
One December is the story of Nikki and Mike who have known each other since childhood. Nikki has always had a huge crush on Mike but he has been blind to it until he returns to New York for Christmas and they reconnect. Each of them have their own issues and their holiday ends unhappily with misunderstanding between them. Nikki takes a job in Paris for a year in an attempt to get Mike out of her system. Meanwhile Mike realizes how much she means to him but has to tear down some walls before he is ready to commit to anyone.
Descriptions of Nikki’s experiences while living in Paris were interesting but I would have enjoyed more details about her side trips to other cities in Europe. It was encouraging to watch both Nikki and Mike as they matured emotionally and spiritually. I did think the side story involving Nikki’s parents might have been unnecessary but that is my own personal preference. Overall the story progressed at a decent rate and although at times it was doubtful that things would work out between Nikki and Mike, everything came to a satisfying conclusion.
One December is the perfect book for those who love stories about romance between old friends.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Title: One December Author: Kyle Hunter Publisher: Monceau Publishing Release Date: February 10, 2018 Genre: Christian Fiction, Contemporary Romance
Nikki has loved Mike for as long as she can remember (as early as age seven!) Mike has his own past hurts to resolve, having lost both parents in an accident when he was fourteen. He’s tried to escape those painful memories by leaving New York and starting a new life on the West Coast. New facts indicate, years later, that his parents’ deaths might not have been an accident.
At Christmas Mike comes back to New York for the first time in three years. He and Nikki rekindle the friendship they had as children and share their newfound faith. Under a Christmas moon romantic sparks fly . . . but their mutual attraction takes an unexpected detour.
Nikki is devastated, believing her one chance for a relationship with Mike is over. She impulsively takes a one-year teaching opportunity in Paris, so that she can face her own fears and get over Mike.
If Mike and Nikki run away, how can they find each other again?
I love to read and write stories about strong women who still have flaws, but are ready to pursue their dreams, even if it takes them out of their comfort zone . . . or their country.
I write inspirational romance novels and women’s fiction with a twist: My characters sometimes go places. This led me to create the Love on the Move collection of novels. Readers can take a trip with them and experience their journeys. They can see how the characters’ lives unfold as they make decisions to trust God (or not) in their next steps, learning about themselves and their faith, and finding love along the way!
I currently live in North Carolina but spent over a decade in France (where some of my books take place.) I also write non-fiction and teach French. In my free time, I enjoy doing pottery and salsa dancing.

I always look forward to Colleen Coble’s latest suspense and have never been disappointed by them. The House at Saltwater Point held true to form and met my expectations completely. Book two in the Lavender Tides series, this book features new characters but contains brief appearances by some from the first novel Lavender Tides. Ellie and Grayson’s stormy relationship was the perfect counterpoint to everything else going on in their lives.
As always, the author leads her readers on a wild goose chase that keeps them guessing from page one through the end. Plenty of unexpected twists and surprises along the way kept my unsure of who the true guilty parties were. Vivid descriptions of the area and honest development of relationships helped to create a realistic story that made me want to keep reading. The perfect balance of suspense, romance, and faith, The House at Saltwater Point is another book for my keeper shelf. I look forward to the final chapter in this series to find out the answers to all the questions left in the air at the end of this book.
