In Gingham Mountain, the third installment of the Lassoed In Texas Series, the reader is once again treated to a hearty dose of laughter and romance in the western frontier setting of Sour Springs, Texas. Misunderstandings abound as the primary characters Hannah and Grant view each other and their world through hearts wounded by the past.

Overall Gingham Mountain was an entertaining story with realistic characters and situations. Having enjoyed Calico Canyon, I did find the subplot about Grace and her family to be somewhat of a disappointment. Their portrayal in Gingham Mountain was of family even more out-of-control than the one of Calico Canyon. I would have liked to have read about positive changes that had come as a result of Grace and Daniel’s marriage. Nevertheless, I would still recommend Gingham Mountain to all who enjoy a good romance, westerns, or just a good laugh or two.
