MY REVIEW:
I will admit that for at least the first third of Forget Me Not, I was lost and had a difficult time making sense of what was going on. Although the reader is given details from several points of view, it took me awhile to find the connection between the characters. Once it finally started to come together for me I realized that perhaps there was actually a little genius in the madness. Perhaps the author intended the reader to be somewhat confused in order to identify with the heroine who was suffering from amnesia.
Forget Me Not is a complex tale where everything is not as it seems. Several men hired to do away with Kelly Walker seem to be working at cross purposes most of the time. Each of them has an agenda of his own that supersedes the one of the boss. Kelly’s amnesia and strong resemblance to his murdered wife seem suspect to Benjamin but she quickly gains his trust and protection as her life is endangered multiple times. The story is filled with multiple sub-plots riddled with twists and surprises around every corner.
A strong message of faith shines through Forget Me Not. Kelly may not remember he own name or details from her past, but her reliance on God and His faithfulness is strong and she makes it a point to share that faith with Benjamin whose own faith was destroyed by the deaths of his wife and son.
So in spite of a little difficulty keeping characters and events straight during the first part of the book, it ended up being a satisfying experience. I would recommend Forget Me Not especially to those who like a mystery that challenges them.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
THEIR ELUSIVE ENEMIES TOOK EVERYTHING. NOW THEY WANT MORE.
Crossroads Crisis Center owner Benjamin Brandt was a content man—in his faith, his work, and his family. Then in a flash, everything he loved was snatched away. His wife and son were murdered, and grief-stricken Ben lost faith. Determination to find their killers keeps him going, but after three years of dead ends and torment, his hope is dying too. Why had he survived? He’d failed to protect his family.
Now, a mysterious woman appears at Crossroads seeking answers and help—a victim who eerily resembles Ben’s deceased wife, Susan. A woman robbed of her identity, her life, of everything except her faith—and Susan’s necklace.
The connections between the two women mount, exceeding coincidence, and to keep the truth hidden, someone is willing to kill. Finding out who and why turns Ben and the mystery woman’s situation from dangerous to deadly. Their only hope for survival is to work together, trust each other, and face whatever they discover head on, no matter how painful. But will that be enough to save their lives and heal their tattered hearts?
