MY REVIEW:
It has been awhile and a multitude of other books since I read the previous books in the Intrigue Under Western Skies series so I had forgotten quite a bit of the background history. Even so, it was not difficult to comprehend what was going on within the pages of Revealed. This novel could easily stand on its on but combined with the first two books makes for extra good reading.
Featuring Rhyan Cason’s previously unknown younger sister and his best friend Colt, this book touches on several important themes such as forgiveness, reconciliation, gossip, and judgemental attitudes. Bolstered by their faith and a growing dependence on the Lord, the primary characters in Revealed managed to overcome some serious obstacles and even life-threatening danger to their families. With quite a bit of action, excitement, and a mystery to solve, Katherine and Colt still found time for a bit of romance. Little did they know that the impending threat was much closer to home than either of them could imagine.
I have enjoyed all the books in this series and look forward to future books by this author.

Nothing can be hidden that won’t be revealed.
When her father dies, Katherine Levinson discovers her parents have kept secrets that render her happy childhood a farce. She and her gravely ill mother face eviction, and she has no choice but to appeal to the brother she’s never seen, the famous cattle baron, Rhyan Cason. Over her gravely ill mother’s objections, they move to Nebraska and the sprawling cattle ranch, Sollano.
Instead of the warm welcome Katherine expects, she and her mother are met with whispers and scorn in the little prairie town near Sollano. Gradually, the sins of her parents’ past surface, and Katherine begins to doubt her very identify. With her brother busy with cattle rustlers and her mother too ill to be bothered, Katherine turns to Colt Holliman, a soft-spoken neighboring rancher, for comfort.
Tired of waiting for the right woman to come along, Colt has promised to wait for Charley Ryder, an acclaimed female sharp shooter and equestrian acrobat with the Wild West Show, but it’s becoming clear Charley loves the show more than him. As his attraction to Katherine grows, he finds himself spiritually conflicted. How can he break from past commitments and follow his heart?
Then unexpected danger strikes, testing Katherine’s and Colt’s faith in God—and each other.

GUEST POST FROM ELAINE MANDERS:
My Backstory
Intrigue under Western Skies Series, Book 3
Revealed
Back when I watched television, drama series were my favorite—Little House of the Prairie, the Waltons, the Virginian. I was caught up in the lives of these characters and looked forward to seeing what they were up to each week. For much the same reason, I enjoy writing episodic series.
Intrigue under Western Skies, a blended genre, historical romantic suspense series falls in this category. Some of the characters show up in every book, with new ones added along the way. But the books can be read out of sequence since each one has a different premise and plot.
In Revealed, Book 3 of Intrigue under Western Skies, I wanted to give Colt Holliman, previously introduced as a secondary character, his own HEA. Also, it seemed the time to reveal what happened to Rhyan Cason’s mother, the woman who’d caused so much angst in the first two books. More importantly, it gave me the opportunity to introduce Katherine, the sister he never knew existed.
Unexpectedly, my research led me to the history of show business, and how it developed through the Wild West shows of the nineteenth century. From that, a mystery evolved.
The spiritual thread running through Revealed explores the emotions of a young woman who discovers blood relatives have been hidden from her. Can she accept and love her new family and forgive the sins of her parents?
Maybe the greatest insight I gained from writing Revealed is that one can never trust his own heart without first trusting God.

MY REVIEW:
I always look forward to Colleen Coble’s latest suspense and have never been disappointed by them. The House at Saltwater Point held true to form and met my expectations completely. Book two in the Lavender Tides series, this book features new characters but contains brief appearances by some from the first novel Lavender Tides. Ellie and Grayson’s stormy relationship was the perfect counterpoint to everything else going on in their lives.
As always, the author leads her readers on a wild goose chase that keeps them guessing from page one through the end. Plenty of unexpected twists and surprises along the way kept my unsure of who the true guilty parties were. Vivid descriptions of the area and honest development of relationships helped to create a realistic story that made me want to keep reading. The perfect balance of suspense, romance, and faith, The House at Saltwater Point is another book for my keeper shelf. I look forward to the final chapter in this series to find out the answers to all the questions left in the air at the end of this book.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
The dangerous beauty of Lavender Tides is harboring secrets that reach around the world.
Ellie Blackmore is making a name for herself as a house flipper. But when her sister Mackenzie disappears, Ellie can’t focus on anything but uncovering what happened. Her only clue is the bloodstain on the deck of Mackenzie’s boat. Ellie knows her sister isn’t on the best of terms with her ex-husband, Jason, but he wouldn’t kill her—would he?
Coast Guard intelligence officer Grayson Bradshaw believes Mackenzie faked her own death after stealing a seized cocaine shipment. The problem is convincing Ellie, who seems to view him as the true enemy.
Both Ellie and Grayson want truth, but truth—and family—is often more complex than it first appears. From international terrorism to the peaceful lavender fields of Puget Sound, The House at Saltwater Point is a thrilling race to uncover the truth before it’s too late.

MY REVIEW:
As one of three sisters I found Things I Never Told You to be an intense and sometimes personal book. Although I am not a twin nor have I lost a sister tragically like the Thatcher sisters, I could easily identify with the strong personality differences and frequent conflicts between the sisters. Often poignant and heart-wrenching, the story slowly but surely led me through secrets long hidden and gradually coming painfully to light. Each character was so well defined that my heart ached for them and I was gratified to watch them each begin to work through their pain.
Things I Never Told You is somewhat different from other books I’ve read by this author – not the light contemporary romance I was expecting. Nevertheless it is an excellent novel that showcases the extremely talented Beth K. Vogt.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
It’s been ten years since Payton Thatcher’s twin sister died in an accident, leaving the entire family to cope in whatever ways they could. No longer half of a pair, Payton reinvents herself as a partner in a successful party-planning business and is doing just fine—as long as she manages to hold her memories and her family at arm’s length.
But with her middle sister Jillian’s engagement, Payton’s party-planning skills are called into action. Which means working alongside her opinionated oldest sister, Johanna, who always seems ready for a fight. They can only hope that a wedding might be just the occasion to heal the resentment and jealousy that divides them . . . until a frightening diagnosis threatens Jillian’s plans and her future. As old wounds are reopened and the family faces the possibility of another tragedy, the Thatchers must decide if they will pull together or be driven further apart.

Welcome to the Chaos In The Blink of an Eye series blitz and GIVEAWAY, hosted by JustRead Publicity Tours!
ABOUT THE BOOK:

In the days following the Rapture of Christ’s Church, the ultimate enemy of God raised up his primary human agent in the flesh to carry out his diabolical mission, Salvador Romanero.
The Miracle Maker, as Salvador Romanero was known throughout the world—after various predictions he’d made had all come true—was about to perform his greatest miracle: bringing peace to a tiny country that had lived in constant fear since its inception, the nation of Israel.
But instead of a peace treaty being signed, Jerusalem fell under a sneak attack on that day. In just six hours, more blood was shed in the streets of the Holy Land than any other 24-hour period in Israel’s turbulent history. Much of the city was in shambles. Smoke smoldered from buildings.
Anyone opposing the one world government he was putting in motion—to include a one world religion—would be silenced for good.
As the Miracle Maker set out to create a brave new world, children of the Most High God were preparing for the absolute worst. They knew God’s unprecedented judgments were coming. After all, it was written. They also knew Salvador Romanero was the long-foretold Antichrist of the Bible, and there was nothing they could do to stop the Son of Perdition in his quest for global worship.
Initially, Clayton Holmes and Travis Hartings, founders of the End Times Salvation Movement, used a website to connect them to other new believers also left behind on that fateful day. Both men prayed for weeks on end that God would give them a surefire sign so they would know who was trustworthy or not. For three consecutive nights they had the very same dream. Both heard a voice say, ‘Those who contact you regarding this dream are trustworthy.’
But with the second attempt to sign a peace treaty with Israel now upon them, the chaotic world humanity had inherited after the Rapture, would soon come completely unglued. Instead of peace and prosperity for all, Planet Earth would experience the most turbulent seven years humanity would ever know…
