MY REVIEW:<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Breaking Up Is Hard To Do<\/a> is another installment of The Miracle Girls<\/strong><\/em> series. As principal character, Christine delivers a huge dose of teenage angst. Not only is she still grieving her mother’s untimely death in an automobile accident but she is forced to deal with her father’s frequent absence and his new fiance and her daughter. In addition, the dynamics in Christine’s closely knit group of friends is changing as they each find a boyfriend.<\/p>\n

Throughout the book, Christine’s primary goal is to stop her father’s wedding but everything she tries seems to backfire. Her first taste of romance is sweet but disappointing and her resistance to her friends’ attempts to share the gospel only makes her more miserable.<\/p>\n

At first I was not sure how the title had any relevance to the content of the book but quickly realized that it applied on at least three different aspects of the plot. I don’t want to give away more so I won’t elaborate. Read Breaking Up Is Hard To Do for yourself <\/a> to see if you agree.<\/p>\n

\nANNE DAYTON graduated from Princeton University and is earning her master’s degree in English literature at New York University. She works for a New York publishing company and lives in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

MAY VANDERBILT graduated from Baylor University and went on to earn a master’s degree in fiction from Johns Hopkins University. She lives in San Francisco, where she writes about food, fashion, and nightlife in the Bay Area.<\/p>\n
