A cozy mystery with a bookstore setting – what could be better? Brought To Book<\/strong><\/em> by Barbara Cornthwaite is just such a book with a heroine who actually volunteers in a bookstore in her spare time because she just loves being there. Her cozy world is quickly turned upside down when the grumpy old man who owns the store is murdered. Katrina finds herself spending quite a bit of time with handsome and unattached detective Todd, hoping to help him find the murderer.<\/p>\n

Brought to Book<\/em><\/strong> is a perfectly delightful tale laced with one surprise after another. It has the perfect amount of mystery and a romance that develops naturally and nicely. All the elements of a cozy mystery are woven together with strong and likeable characters, just the right amount of danger, a fairly strong message of faith, and quite a few interesting facts and references to books.<\/p>\n

Booklovers who also love mysteries should definitely consider purchasing a copy of this novel. It is the perfect companion for a long winter evening by the fire.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

She is surrounded by medieval castles, picturesque flocks of sheep, and ancient stone monuments. \u201cHow\u2019s she handling it?\u201d he asked the officer who had arrived first at the scene and escorted her to the police station.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot too badly,\u201d said Gary. \u201cShe\u2019s in shock, of course, but she\u2019s trying to hold it together. Katrina Peters. She\u2019s in Room 2.\u201d<\/p>\n

He\u2019d gone in then and gotten his first look at her. Late thirties or early forties. Brown hair that fell to her shoulders in loose waves. Brown eyes that were red-rimmed from crying. Hands clutching a tissue. She managed a faint smile when he walked in.<\/p>\n

\u201cHello, Ms. Peters. I\u2019m Detective Todd Mason. I need to ask you some questions, if that\u2019s all right.\u201d<\/p>\n

She\u2019s afraid I\u2019ll think she\u2019s trying to advertize her availability<\/em>. It amused Todd to see the blush\u2014if only she knew how refreshing it was to see a woman who would even be conscious of such a thing. Old fashioned<\/em>, he thought. In a good way<\/em>.<\/p>\n
