Rodante\u2019s Spiritual Warfare series. After reading Scars<\/em>, I plan to remedy that as soon as possible.<\/p>\n Although Scars<\/em> is the final book in the series, it was easily a stand alone novel. I would love to read the back stories of various characters in the book but I had no problems keeping up with the story.<\/p>\n The narrative centered around a rehab center run by a church that ministered to former gang members, alcoholics, and addicts. Characters included both staff and residents of the center. It was eye-opening to read about the struggles to overcome experienced by the program participants. Examples of prayer and spiritual warfare were scattered throughout the story as both staff and residents experienced one crisis after another.<\/p>\n I especially liked a scene where one of the residents exhorted one of the volunteers which brought truth into her life and set her free. This individual had not made his own decision for Christ at that point but the Holy Spirit used him to minister to the other person.<\/p>\n Scars is a powerful tale that is well worth a reader\u2019s time.
