Shattered Sanctuary did not disappoint! The author set the perfect atmosphere for her story and the characters were just right. Primary character Erin Delaney is a soul tortured by an incident in her past that has brought her almost to the verge of agoraphobia<\/span>. She agrees to meet her friend Kaely Quinn in Sanctuary, Tennessee in hopes that the time together will be relaxing and therapeutic. As previous readers of Mehl’s novels will quickly guess, Sanctuary absolutely does not live up to its name. When bodies begin to show up in the surrounding area, it becomes evident that a serial killer is at work and Erin and possibly Kaely might be in his sights.<\/p>\n During the course of the book, there were several characters who could have been the killer. Mehl kept me guessing throughout. The tale progressed at just the right pace and I didn’t want to stop reading until I reached the end. In the course of the story, faith was a predominant subject of conversation and reflection which I appreciated. Hints of a potential romance added to my enjoyment. I can’t wait for the next installment of this series.<\/p>\n I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book provided by JustReads Publicity. A favorable review was not required.
