A historical narrative, <em><strong>Yesterday&#8217;s Promise<\/strong><\/em> chronicles the diamond and gold industry of South Africa in the late 1800&#8217;s as well as early efforts by the British to colonize the area that later became Rhodesia. Set in both South Africa and England,\u00a0 this novel offers the reader a look at the people and customs of that time and the driving forces behind the men who shaped South Africa.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Yesterday&#8217;s Promise<\/strong><\/em> is a story of strong contrasts between those driven by greed, manipulation, and lust for power and those whose main goals were adventure, a desire for justice, and to save the lost.
