Ronie has been married since 1990 to a man who can easily be defined in classic terms as a hero. She has four beautiful children. Her eldest daughter is 16 this year, her second daughter will be 13, and her twin boys are 10. After having four children, she finally finished her degree in December 2006. She now has a B.S. in Psychology through Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Getting her degree is a huge triumph for both her and her family–they survived!
This degree has also given her a fabulous perspective on her characters and how to not only make them deeper, stronger, but to make them realistic and know how they’ll respond to each situation. Her debut novel, Dead Reckoning released March 2010 from Abingdon Press. And her Discarded Heroes series begins in July from Barbour with the first book entitled Nightshade.

MY REVIEW:
Dead Reckoning pretty much started off with a bang and continued at a frantic pace until the end. It was an edge of the seat, page turning experience that kept me holding my breath until the last word. Excellent characterization and well described settings were perfect complements to the drama and action.
It has been a couple of months and possibly 50+ books since I read Dead Reckoning so my memory may not be as clear as I’d like. I should have recorded my thoughts as soon as I read it but unfortunately, I didn’t. I do remember that I loved the book and look forward to reading more by Ronie Kendig in the near future. For fans of high action and adventure, I highly recommend Dead Reckoning. I hope you will give it a try.
Raven’s Ladder is the third book in the Auralia’s Thread series. Because I missed the second volume, it was difficult for me to pick up the story in this sequel. My suggestion to anyone thinking about reading Raven’s Ladder would be to read all the books in order and preferably within a short amount of time. These books are built upon each other and it would be easy to miss everything that is going on without the information in previous ones.
As in Auralia’s Colors, the author has painted a masterpiece of words. Raven’s Ladder is filled to the brim with intriguing characters, strange and wonderful creatures, and unusual geography. Characters range from courageous and heroic to manipulating and evil. Cal-raven’s quest to deliver his people to a safe place and to establish New Abascar, leads them through adventures, challenges, and dangers. Fantasy lovers should definitely check out this series.

Historical elements seem to be well researched and add depth to the narrative.
I would definitely recommend The Golden Cross to anyone who loves a good historical romance.
