MY REVIEW:
As a fan of Susan May Warren’s Deep Haven books, it has been such fun reading the latest series where she joins forces with new writers to create new Deep Haven novels. In my opinion, this venture has been a total success and I have enjoyed each and every one of the books in this endeavor.
Right Here Waiting may be my favorite of the series. Rae and Nick have been communicating online anonymously for quite some time when Rae accepts a job in Deep Haven as the new helicopter pilot for the Crisis Response Team. Her first meeting with Nick does not go well at all and Rae hesitates to identify herself as the person he knows as LadyJHawk. As they become better acquainted and their friendship begins to develop into stronger feelings, Rae never seems to find the right time to tell Nick the truth.
The plot of Right Here Waiting moves along at a steady pace with plenty of action, relationship challenges, and eventually romance. It was fun touching base with characters not only from previous books in this particular series but longtime favorites from earlier SMW series. As always a subtle message of faith was woven throughout the story. Set during the Christmas season, this book would be perfect to add to your holiday reading list.
