Simon & Schuster has offered to give one reader of this blog a copy of Book of Dreams. However the method of entry will be a bit different this time.
The story in the Book of Dreams focuses strongly on dreams that come from the Lord so I would like for this contest to reflect that theme.

Yes, I have had a dream I felt was from God. At a point in my life when everything seemed in chaos, I dreamed I was in the middle of a field with a huge tornado headed straight for me. There was no place to go. I turned around and right behind me appeared a gigantic rock with a crawl space underneath just big enough for me to crawl under for shelter from the tornado. He showed me that He is my rock in the storm.
Many years ago when I went on stress leave and I remember crying to the Lord to show me what to do and it was in the middle night that I saw Him reach out to me and hold me in His arms like He would a child and said it will be ok I will be with you. During that time He truly was with me during a really hard time in my life.
I remember during my growning up years looking for a father figure in my life and one night when I was quite young I talked to God and in the middle of the night I dreamt that He was holding me in His arms as though I was a precious child and He comforted me and said I will always be there for you and He has literally wrapped me in His arms!
Many years ago when I was young and I was looking for some direction in my life, the Lord showed me in a dream a person I should go to and talk to and that person was there for me and has been over the years. Thankful to the Lord for leading me during the middle of the night in a dream to who would hold me and let me cry my heart out to about what was happening!
I’m quite certain God has spoken to me on numerous occasions through dreams, but one in particular stands out in my mind. A couple years ago my husband and I sensed God was leading us in a different direction ministry-wise, but weren’t sure exactly what He wanted us to do. As we prayed, God used a dream to direct us away from the large church where we’d been serving for 11 years to a discipleship ministry focusing on smaller, single-pastor churches. Over time every aspect of that dream has become reality.
Long ago, I had a dream in which I thought I heard God telling me a certain man would become my husband. This did not happen, not even close. I am glad I didn’t act on this dream and do anything foolish! I understand now that it was not God’s voice I heard in the dream, though it sure seemed real at the time. I’ve heard God’s voice since then but never in a dream.
i believe that god told me in a dream what my profession would be…and i am living that dream today :)
I am not sure my dream came from god but I am sue he had something to do with it. My younger brother passed away several years ago and I took it very hard. My brother was only 43 and he was my only sibling. I was so hurt and confused on how it could happen and why god would do this. My dream was about my brother coming to me and telling me he was okay and for me to go on. He also told me not to blame god and not to lose faith. It was very powerful.
